Whirl-Pak Dehydrated Speci-Sponge Sterile Sampling System

Whirl-Pak Dehydrated Speci-Sponge Sterile Sampling System was designed for environmental surface sampling of work areas, equipment, animal carcasses, and any other place when testing for Listeria, Salmonella, E. coli, and other foodborne pathogens, or anthrax is required. After adding diluent and wiping surface to be testing, simply return the sponge to its original Whirl-Pak bag. The sample is then ready to be transported to the laboratory for analysis.

The Speci-Sponge Bags are free of bactericide and have been tested to be non-inhibitory. The sponge measures approximately 1 ½” x 3” x 5/8” when wet and is sterilized inside a Whirl-Pak bag.

Use the preferred diluent or order DE neutralizing broth separately. This general-purpose diluent moistens the sponge and neutralizes most sanitizers including quaternary ammoniums, phenolics, iodine, chlorine, mercurial, formaldehyde, and glutaraldehyde. Whirl-Pak Speci-Sponge bags are 2.5 mil thick and come in a pack of 100.
