M 20 Heavy-Duty Universal Mill

This IKA M 20 Heavy-Duty Universal Mill has a 305 stainless steel blade that grinds substances with a 5 moh hardness. It grinds hard, brittle and dry samples with volumes up to 250 mL at 20,000 rpm. A double wall chamber allows for cooling with water for temperature sensitive samples

Two hose adapter ports accept 3⁄8" ID tubing. The automatic shut-off control protects the motor from both overheating and overloading. A fan-cooled, 440-watt motor is isolated from the grinding chamber by a dust tight seal.

The unit is constructed of heavy-duty cast aluminum with an enameled finished chamber made of 304 SS for purity and strength.  Universal power operation, 115 V - 230 V.

Order the optional “star” blade below for cutting fibrous materials, or the tungsten carbide blade for grinding samples up to 9 mohs in hardness. Spare grinding chambers are available.

Note: This mill is not intended for use with liquids or wet samples as they may destroy or damage the motor.
