Siebel/Döhler Lin's Wild Yeast Medium (LWYM) is used for the selection and enumeration of Saccharomyces wild yeast, while simultaneously inhibiting the growth of brewing culture yeast. LWYM can be used to screen beer samples for unwanted spoilage yeast, even in the presence of desirable brewing culture yeast strains. The Siebel/Döhler LWYM is an ideal medium for the detection of the following beer spoilage organisms:

• Candida spp.
• Saccharomyces bayanus.
• Saccharomyces uvarum
