Disposable Specimen Container Kit

This all-in-one transport system includes everything required to transport viruses, chlamydia, mycoplasmas or ureaplasmas from the collection site to the testing laboratory. It consists of a 3 mL vial containing a transport media and two regular polyester-tipped swabs. A phenol red pH indicator is included in the media to confirm integrity at the time of specimen collection.

 The transport media offers flexibility for collection – store it at room temperature or in a refrigerator. Bacteria and funguses are suppressed via anti-microbes.  The flat-bottomed conical tube stands on the benchtop. A capture cap eliminates the need for forceps to remove the swab.
