Lin’s Cupric Sulfate Medium (LCSM)
Weber Brand Lin's Cupric Sulfate Medium (LCSM) is used for the selection and enumeration of non-Saccharomyces wild yeast, while simultaneously inhibiting the growth of brewing culture yeast. LCSM can be used to screen beer samples for unwanted spoilage yeast, even in the presence of desirable brewing culture yeast strains. The Weber LCSM is an ideal medium for the detection of the following beer spoilage organisms:
- Dekkara spp.
- Brettanomyces spp.
- Candida spp.
- Conforms to American Society of Brewing Chemists standard methods and formulation.
- Weber LCSM uses an all-in-one formula with cupric sulfate pre-mixed into the medium. No separate addition of cupric sulfate is needed!
