The Vortex-Genie 2 Laboratory Mixers are versatile vortex mixers have variable-speed control that allows slow-speed shaking up to high-speed vortexing. True vortex action prevents spilling even when tubes are uncapped. Three-position power switch lets you select "Touch On" control or continuous hands-free operation to greatly increase your lab efficiency.

Easy-to-change mixing heads snap on and off to accommodate flasks, tubes, beakers, inserts for microcentrifuge or micro-tubes, and 96-well microplates (order attachments separately below).

Tough metal housing combined with a cast-metal base and rubber feet provide a stable platform for all types of mixing. Measures 6 1/2"L x 4 13/16"W x 6 1/2"H. Includes 3" platform head and pop-off cup head. UL- and CSA-listed, CE-marked. Two-year warranty.

ABI Digital Vortex-Genie 2 for Applied Biosystems is a specifically configured mixer for Applied Biosystems' Microplate Protocols Only. The microplate adapter securely holds 96-well plates & 384-well plates. Supplied with Microplate adapter for Applied Biosystems and Elastic Bands for Applied Biosystems.

The three-inch platform accepts single or multiple test tubes, beakers and various flasks. The removable cover is made of thermoplastic rubber, and is highly impervious to most chemicals.

The pop-off cup can accommodate tubes of almost any size or shape—from microcentrifuge tubes to those up to 40mm diameter and 200mm length. In almost all cases, tubes can be mixed uncapped. Proper speed control prevents overflow.
