Permount Mounting Media is formulated for mounting and storing long-term slides. The Permount media maintains its dye, cohesive, and adhesive qualities for long periods of time. Annular rings (a result of long-term storage) are prevented by an added anti-oxidant.

The diffraction index of Permount™ Mounting Media is near that of fixed protein. This helps keep the image free of optical imperfections. These imperfections include diffraction halos. The color of biological dyes won’t shift over time when slides are stored in low-light/dark conditions.

The thin adhesive layer provided by Permount™ Mounting Media allows for enhanced optical quality. Cover slips can be mounted to slides with thick or thin specimens. The media is low viscosity. This produces a bubble-free, thin adhesive layer.
