Assurance of accuracy is critical to analytical testing. A widely used method for assuring accuracy is to run a standard solution containing a known amount of the test substance through an entire analysis. If results show quantitative recovery (all of the standard is accounted for at the end of the test), you have proof your method measures standards accurately.
