Memphis-based Monogram Food Services has a new deal with comedian, radio personality and "Family Feud" host Steve Harvey. According to a news release, Monogram and Harvey's HarCal Enterprises are creating a new product together called Easy Bacon by Harvey Foods.

"Designed to bring ease and convenience to the world's most popular meat, Easy Bacon is real bacon, cut into thick savory slices, hickory-smoked and roasted to reduce the cook time and amount of grease for the consumer. Easy Bacon can be prepared from skillet to plate in under two minutes, giving real home-cooked bacon back to a time-constrained America," the press release reads. Cooking bacon just got easier and faster.

Why do we love bacon so much?
Just ask bacon aficionado Ari Weinzweig.

Seaweed That Tastes Like Bacon?

Scientists from Oregon State University's Hatfield Marine Science Center say they've created and patented a new type of seaweed that has the potential to be sold commercially as the next big superfood.

The tasty creation is actually a new strain of red marine algae called dulse that is packed full of minerals and protein and looks like red lettuce. It's nutritious, fast growing, and when it's fried, they say it tastes like bacon.

Biofuel from whisky byproducts

Professor Martin Tangney

Scientists at Edinburgh Napier University have developed a process that transforms pott ale and draff from the making of whisky into fuel to run a vehicle, and now the university has turned that process into a business called Celtic Renewables Ltd.!

Celtic Renewables Ltd. was founded by Prof Martin Tangney who is also the director of Napier University's Biofuel Research Centre and was also the lead researcher on the study that lead to the forming of this new business. The main goal of Celtic Renewables is to produce biofuels on a commercial scale from whisky byproduct that act as a direct replacement for gasoline.
